BrandSource introduces retail sales academy at convention

LAS VEGAS — BrandSource is planning a retail sales academy to recognize and honor hundreds of the best and brightest retail sales people during its annual convention in Las Vegas, Aug. 25-29.

The Heavy Hitters academy is offered with full scholarships and will provide more than 20 education sessions, networking opportunities, product training and an awards ceremony. In addition, the keynote will be delivered by Erik Qualman.

Participants also will have the chance to walk the show floor and see all BrandSource’s vendor partner exhibits.

“BrandSource is thrilled to be offering the innovative Heavy Hitters academy to retail sales people this year, said Jim Ristow, BrandSource CEO. “We want to make sure our member sales teams are equipped with the best training and education possible so they have the best salesforce in the industry, not just today, but in the future.”

The product training sessions will include top-rated brands like Whirlpool, Serta/Simmons, LG, Electrolux and GE.

The education sessions will focus on practical selling techniques, quality customer service through employee engagement, along with high-performance attitudes and aspiring leader qualities.

The academy also will include a best practices roundtable, focusing on common business obstacles and better ways to market product.

The first annual Heavy Hitters academy is sponsored by Whirlpool, Serta Simmons, Electrolux, GE and LG Appliances.
